Danila Dilba Health Service is an Aboriginal Medical Service situated in Darwin, Northern Australia. We are seeking to recruit several suitably qualified General Practitioners to work within our clinics.

Danila Dilba Health Service provides a range of free comprehensive primary health care services to the Aboriginal community of the Yilli Rreung area. These services are coordinated from our Main, Palmerston and Mens clinics as well as the ESWB Centre and Youth Service.

Danila Dilba Health Service Primary Health Care services are funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health, NT Government and FaHCSIA.

Over the last twelve months, 5606 individual members of our community visited the clinic. There were 22,725 episodes of care recorded. Again Aboriginal Health Workers remain in the forefront of health care seeing 7760 people. The medical officers saw 14,950 patients.

Danila Dilba Health Service is continually looking for avenues to help them improve the services that they provide to their clients. In doing so, they have planned to find an alternative facility for their health precinct to cater for their rapidly growing organization. Additionally, Danila Dilba Health Service also plans to achieve the following goals in the coming years:

• Conduct a review of birthing and ante/post natal services that show recommendations, checklists and timeframes for implementations.
• Increase the national profile of men's health programs
• Compile an action plan for implementation and integration of allied health services such as aged care, dental and physiotherapy.
• Develop, maintain and evaluate the effectiveness of partnerships and service initatives with other government and community based organisations.
